Terms of Service

§ 1. General Provisions
- These Terms of Service ('Regulations') govern the use of the SkillForge online educational platform ('Platform') provided by SkillForge Education Inc. ('Service Provider'). These Regulations constitute a binding agreement between the User and the Service Provider.
- By creating an account and using the Platform, the User confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Regulations and the Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of this agreement.
- The Service Provider reserves the right to amend these Regulations at any time. Users will be notified of any significant changes. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Regulations.
- The services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction. Use by minors is permitted only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
§ 2. Definitions
- Platform – An online educational platform available at skillforge.ca, offering courses and related content.
- User – Any natural person or legal entity that creates an Account and uses the Services provided through the Platform.
- Account – A personalized user profile created during registration, allowing access to the Platform's Services.
- Services – All educational materials, tools, and functionalities provided by the Service Provider via the Platform, including courses and community features.
- Regulations – This document, the Terms of Service, outlining the rules for using the Platform.
§ 3. Type and Scope of Services Provided
- The Service Provider offers paid access to a library of online courses focused on practical life skills. The scope of access depends on the subscription plan selected by the User. All content is for personal, non-commercial use only.
- Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the content associated with their subscription plan. This license is for personal educational purposes and does not confer any ownership rights.
- The Service Provider may modify, update, or discontinue any aspect of the Services, including course content and features, at its sole discretion, to improve the quality and relevance of the Platform.
- The Platform may include community features such as forums. Users are expected to interact respectfully and constructively. The Service Provider reserves the right to moderate content and suspend users who violate community guidelines.
§ 4. Technical Requirements
- To use the Platform, the User must have a device with access to the Internet and a modern web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with JavaScript and cookies enabled. The quality of video streaming depends on the User's internet connection.
- The User is solely responsible for ensuring their hardware and software meet the necessary requirements to access and use the Platform.
- The Service Provider is not liable for any limitations or technical issues arising from the User's equipment or internet service.
§ 5. Rights and Obligations of the User
- The User is obligated to provide true and accurate information during registration and to keep this information updated. The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account password.
- The User agrees not to share, resell, reproduce, or distribute any content from the Platform without the express written permission of the Service Provider. The User's account is for their sole, personal use.
- The User must not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm, disable, or impair the service. This includes uploading malicious software, engaging in harassment, or infringing on intellectual property rights of others.
- The User is responsible for all activities that occur under their Account. Any suspected unauthorized use of the Account must be reported to the Service Provider immediately.
- Payments for subscriptions are processed through a third-party payment gateway. The User agrees to pay all applicable fees for the selected subscription plan in a timely manner.
§ 6. Final Provisions
- These Regulations shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Nova Scotia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
- Any disputes arising from these Regulations shall be resolved by the competent courts in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
- For any matters not covered by these Regulations, the relevant provisions of Canadian law shall apply.
